What makes MIETIS different

Designed in Barcelona, handmade in Igualada

Every MIETIS bag is designed in Barcelona by María Fontanellas and handmade by artisans in our own workshop in Igualada. Production is kept in-house so the team controls every stage, from material selection to the final finishing details.

Hand-painted edges

The edges of MIETIS bags are painted by hand, often in a contrasting colour – a finishing detail that has become one of the brand's signatures.

Fumée: no two pieces alike

Fumée pieces are hand-painted one by one with a smoke-like colour gradient, so every bag is unique.

Limited editions, made in small runs

MIETIS produces in limited quantities, following a "less is more" approach. Limited editions are made in small runs; the MIETIS Collectors list gets early access to each new drop.

Iconic models

• Tatito – the brand's most iconic bag: a sculptural top-handle bag with a crossbody strap. Also in Tatito Petite (mini) and Tatu (larger) sizes.
• Max – a structured grained-leather tote that fits a laptop, with the Max Mid and the compact Maxito.
• Pluto – a soft, padded leather bowling bag, in Plutito, Pluto and Super Pluto sizes.
• Jill – a 70s-inspired structured bag in glossy leather, also as Mini Jill and Jill Night Out.
• Culita – a leather baguette bag with a wave-shaped base inspired by Gaudí and the Barcelona sea.

Collaborations

MIETIS has collaborated with Casa Batlló on a collection of leather bags and accessories inspired by Gaudí's architecture, including Sant Jordi editions. Other collaborations include EyewearClub (eyewear bag), 4CCCCEES (Mellow Me sandals) and Nail Restaurant (hand-painted bag charms).
